Taste of New Orleans

While in New Orleans we exposed Mackenzie to some good old New Orleans Food. As you can see she loved it. She had beignets and crawfish pie.

Children's Musuem

Mackenzie had so much fun, as you can see there is lots to do and touch. She loved trying to get a bubble over her head. Trying to get a picture of Cayden, his mom Bridgette, Mackenzie and Todd all together. Cayden is almost 2 and he is on the go all the time. Mackenzie pretending the ambulance was an ice cream truck. Mackenzie, Todd and Cayden building a tower cake it was taller then Todd. Afterwards we walked to the river so the kids can watch the boats go by. It was a very good day. Mackenzie still keeps asking when she is going to go back to the children's museum.

We took Mackenzie & her cousin Cayden to the Louisiana Children's Musuem. It is one of the best places to take children in New Orleans. They can touch everything. They have a grocery store for them to shop in and as you can see as soon as Cayden and Mackenzie had there baskets they were off and running in different directions.

As many of you know we just went to New Orleans to visit family. Mackenzie was ready to go on the plane. It was great having her in a car seat, she felt so safe and she made sure that she was buckled the whole time. We did have to get out to go to the potty but that was unsuccessful, she pretty much freaked out because it was so small and after trying to tell her it was okay she would not go.

This is the conversations I had with Mackenzie. While I was trying to take a bath, why can't I have a nice peaceful bath all by myself.

Mackenzie: Mom do you need some of my bubbles.

Mom: No that is okay

Mackenzie: Can I put some on you.

Mom: Sure Mackenzie that is fine.

Mackenzie: (Puts the foaming bubbles on my shoulder) I will rub in and you will be nice and clean.

Mom: Thanks

Mackenzie: Mom do you need some of my bath toys.

Mom: No Mackenzie, I just want to finish shaving and get out of the tub.

Mackenzie: (She leaves and goes and gets her bath toys) Mom I got you some bath toys. Do you want me to put them in the tub.

Mom: No Mackenzie, I am almost done.

Mackenzie: PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE.

Mom: No they are going to get dirty.

Mackenzie: Okay but you can add clean water. ( I get out the tub as fast as I can.)

Mackenzie had some of her friends over today for an Easter Egg hunt. I think everyone had a good time. I know Mackenzie was so excited to have all of her friends over. Here are some pictures of them waiting until it is time to go (we had to wait for the eggs to be spread out). They were so ready and as you can see they were all excited to see what they found in there eggs.

Okay so today I went to Hobby Lobby looking for some iron on letters and since I have never been there before I wanted to check out the store. (by the way did not find them) So as I was walking down an aisle with wall decorations Mackenzie screams out look at all of those T's they sure do have a lot, they were not T's they were Crosses to hang on the wall.
