Let The Concert Begin

Mackenzie loves to sing. She does it daily in her room, she will go in there and sing along with her Hannah Montana, Kids Bop or Shrek CD. For Christmas she got a tinker toy set and decided to build herself a microphone. Pretty ingenious I say so now she puts on concerts for us to watch.

4th of July

My sister bought the girls outfits for 4th of July so we had to take a picture of them. We did not do to much that day just hung out at home. That night when Mollie was asleep Mackenzie and I went to see the fireworks while Todd and Mollie stayed home.

I am 1

Mollie turned one on June 22. She is walking all over the place. Climbing in chairs and trying to keep up with her big sister. She learning how to tell me more in sign language and goes to the pantry to let me know she wants something to eat.

Swim lessons

Mollie started taking ISR, well she does not like she cries the whole time but she has been doing really good at them. She is learning how to float on her back and roll to her back if she would fall in the pool. Mackenzie also took ISR when she was a baby.

It is hard to believe but my baby girl is not a baby anymore she is 6 years old, time has surely flown by. Things that she is into rocking out to her music especially Hannah Montana, drawing and painting, playing with her barbies, learning on leapster, reading new first grade books and playing with her little sister. She has graduated from kindergarten. This summer she joined the swim team and is loving it. She is just getting so big and more and more opinionated every day.

Is there a Veterinarian in the House

Mackenzie was playing Vet with her stuff animals and each animal had a different aliment it was cute. When she got to the sea turtle she told me people threw plastic bags in the ocean and the turtle thought it was a jellyfish so he ate it, she goes into the kitchen and comes back with a plastic bag and tells me she got it out. What a good Veterinarian she will make. Got to love her imagination.

Mother's Day Spa

Mackenzie's class had a Mother's Day Spa, she was so excited for me to go, we had to bring our own makeup, and lotion. It started off with cucumber's on my eyes and while they were on she massaged my arms and legs with lots of lotion. When that was done it was makeup time and most of you know I don't wear much. So I had to borrow Mackenzie's eye shadow. Needless to say she picked out the shirt I was going to wear so it would compliment my eyes since I had to wear purple yes purple eye shadow. It was a great day and she was very proud of herself.

New Toy- Family Moment Priceless

As many of you know Todd has ALS and he had to give up his Quad. Well he found a new toy that he can share with Mackenzie. His friends have been great and have modified it so that he can easily get in and out of it, and drive it around. He finally got it home this weekend and took Mackenzie and I for a ride around the block. Well lets just say the smile on his face and Mackenzies face was priceless.

Chocolate! Yum Yum

Check out there silly faces. I could not have planned that one even if I tried.
Easter came early at the Dittmer house since we will be out of town. Yes the girls are both eating a chocolate rabbit. Mollie got her first taste of chocolate at the age of 9 months. Mackenzie had her 1st taste at the same age and I think my mom gave me chocolate when I was there age also. So I figured it didn't hurt either one of us I might as well let Mollie have a taste. She loved it just like her sister did. I did not let her eat to much.

To busy to blog

As many of you know my life is BUSY and as soon as things start to calm down, I get thrown another curve ball. Mollie is still not sleeping threw the night she gets up about 2 times sometimes more. Todd doesn't sleep well his back is always hurting and with ALS he has a hard time rolling to his side in the bed so he wakes me up to help him roll. Then I have the occasional Mackenzie coming to my bed asking to sleep with us, so I let her and then we play musical beds and I go to her room. Then on top of all this my mom passed away and I could not sleep. So the last thing on my mind is not Blogging when all I want to do is take a nap and sleep. But life still has to go on and my housework has to get done and my family has to get fed. So hopefully things will get better and I can work on the blog and keep everyone posted on my girls.

Funky Town

Mackenzie likes to go in her room and play her Shrek CD. Well one of her favorite songs to sing and dance to is Funky Town. Now if only I can teach her the right words she would be okay because as you can see from the video she has the moves down.

My Very Own Dress Up Doll

Mackenzie has been playing dress up with her sister. I guess it is better then her baby dolls. Mollie has no choice but to just sit there, so as long as Mollie is happy and not crying they will play dress up. Mackenzie thinks it is the greatest thing so I say have fun with your new dress up doll.
