There 1st Camping Trip

Todd and Mackenzie went camping in Prescott the weekend of Memorial day. Todd rented a pop-up camper from base. Well that weekend we get a cold front but since he promised her to go camping they went. I enjoyed the weekend all to myself. Todd also went with some friends Monique and Orion. Well Mackenzie was in heaven she did not want anything to do with Todd and she did not want to call me to tell me goodnight. She went on hikes, to the playground, they went fishing and she came home with a rock collection. She said she had a real good time. I don't have any pictures yet but when I do I will add them.

Preschool Graduation

Mackenzie officially graduated from preschool last week. The graduation was very cute. They sang songs and all the kids got a diploma. I am sure Mackenzie will miss her teachers Mrs. B and Mrs. Leann. I must say that Mackenzie is so excited because she knows her birthday is right around the corner and that she will be going to kindergarten.

She Flips and Tumbles

Okay so Mackenzie has started going to gymnastics, I think we have been going for about 4 weeks now. She loves it, if you ask her what is her favorite thing to do there she will tell you the rings. Each week they work on different task, she has gotten so much better doing a cartwheel. Now if she can only remember the differance between a cartwheeel and a summersault she would be okay.

We Hit A Milestone

You know your child is getting bigger when she accomplish things own her own that you did not see coming. The other day Mackenzie comes up to me and tells me she learned how to tie her skirt and shoes. Now we don't wear many shoes with ties, but we do have a book that teaches you how to tie a shoe. I say good for you I can't wait to see you tie your shoes or shirt. Well sure enough she did. Todd and I was so surprised to see her tie, we were more in shock since we have not worked on this for some time, we just figured she has time to learn. She was so excited that she kept showing us, she used a pair of my shorts and then in the book on how to tie your shoe. She still needs a little practice but for the most part she can tie a shoe and like I said we have not worked on this for several months.

Her next accomplishment was that she decided to wash her hair own her own. Usually when it comes to washing her hair I do it, but I was at work and Todd was in charge. He lets her do a lot of things when I am not a home. So she decided to wash her hair at least he went in there to check on her to make sure she did not leave any shampoo in her hair. I guess our little girl is getting bigger and surprising us on things she can do own her own.
