Christmas at Disney

 

 

Christmas this year was spent at Disneyland in California. Todd wanted to do something special with the girls so off to Disney we went. The weather was cold and rainy for the first two days while we were there and we made sure to bundle up but we still managed to get sick the three of us, Mackenzie, Mollie and myself. Todd as he would call it stayed healthy. So despite the yucky weather and being sick we had a great time.

 

 

6 months old

 
Yes I am six months old. I am sitting up by myself, I still tend to fall backwards when I don't catch myself. I weigh 17lbs 13oz and am 26.5 inches. So I am growning. I love my baby food especially all my veggies I am not to crazy about my fruits I will eat them but only when they are mixed with cereal. Mom wishes I would sleep through the night maybe one day.

Toothfairy Please Come

  Mackenzie lost her first tooth last night. It has been wiggly for a week or so and while she was eating a blueberry muffin it fell out. The tooth fairy came and she got 2 dollars. She was so excited when she woke up this morning to find money under her pillow. Now we just wait for the new one to grow and the others to fall out.
 

Crazy Hair

 
This is what happens when Mackenzie is playing and watching her sister when I am not in the room to supervise. When I came back to check on the girls Mollie's hair was crazy, so I asked Mackenzie how it happened. Well she said that she licked Mollie's hair to get it wet so she can spike it up. So was so proud of herself, she kept saying doesn't she look adorable. Yes I must say both of you do.
 

Sleeping just like Dad

 

I have put Mollie in our bed a couple of times and I usually leave her there when I get up to get Mackenzie ready for school. I have come back to find both Mollie and Todd sleeping the same way. As you can see from the pictures.

 

My Black Cat and Bumble Bee

 
 
 
Mackenzie decided that she wanted to be a black cat again this year for Halloween and Mollie got to be a bumble bee that use to be Mackenzie. It was so hot that Mollie only had the costume on just for pictures. We went around the neighborhood. I put Todd in the wheel chair because I could not risk any falls while we were out walking and Mollie sat in his lap and off we went. We were done in a hour since a lot of house are empty in our neighborhood. After we came back home Todd and Mackenzie past out the treats to the kids and Mollie decided that is was time to do a trick yes she rolled over for the first time she did it about 3 times and then was done for the night.

My New Bling

Mollie went in for her 4 month old check up and while I was there I got the pediatrician to pierce her ears. Mollie weighed in at 16 lbs 8 oz and was a little over 25 inches long. Yes I really think she is going to be my big girl compared to her sister. I also started her on rice cereal she is not to sure about it but I do manage to get some down her. She found her hands a while back and loves eating them. She still has not rolled over because each time she tries she rolls over half way and then finds her hands and starts eating them it is pretty funny to watch, she will do this over and over again and each time she finds a different hand to put into her mouth. So maybe one day she will just decide to roll over until then we will just keep helping her learn.

Mackenzie update

Mackenzie is loving school, she is learning how to read and is doing a great job. She loves drawing and writing stories which is great and helps with her reading but she keeps using my printer paper so I have to keep hiding it on her. I don't know how many drawing tablets or notebooks we have gone through.
We also started her back into gymnastics and she still loves it.
Now if only I can get her to listen to me and clean up her drawings from all over the house we would be good.

October Flew By

October has flown by for us and I can't wait for it to be over. It is already October 20th and this is the first post I am able to write due to the fact that our lives have been on the go this whole month and we are just now getting around to slowing down. I had to fly to New Orleans the 1st week of October because my mom had a stroke. I came back home the last half of the 2nd week and we had Grandma Helen and Grandpa Frank for a visit there were a big help while I was gone. Then back to school and trying to get all settled again when what is around the corner Halloween and we are so not even ready. Plus we've had DR appt after DR appt. So that is what is going on over at the Dittmer house. We will try to keep you posted when we get a chance.

Finally A Children's Museum

 
 
 Well Phoenix finally got a Children's Museum and since we had family in town (cousins, aunt,uncle & grandparents) and its hot outside during August we decided to check it out. Well the kids had so much fun. Mollie even enjoyed sleeping the whole time.
 

Mollie's 1st Swim

 
 

This was Mollie's 1st dip into the pool. I think she liked it she kept kicking her feet. She did not get to stay in long since it was late and she didn't have a diaper.

I Am Growing

 

As you can see Mollie is growing,the first picture is from June and the second from August. You can tell she is getting bigger each day. I am having a hard time carrying her in the car seat and now I know why, we went for her 2 month check up, (yes she is 2 months already) she weighed in at 13 lbs 9 oz and 23 inches long. She is now in the 95% for weight.

 

Sisterly Love

 
 
How much can one sister love the other sister. Mackenzie loves her baby sister Mollie so much and it shows. She loves holding her and kissing on her even when we ask her to let her sleep. I hope she remembers how much she loves Mollie when Mollie is older and into all of Mackenzie's stuff. I will have to make sure to bring out these pictures and remind Mackenzie of all the times she has played with and bugged Mollie. I just hope the love last forever.
 
 

I hate covers

 

 

 

Todd and I have come to the conclusion that my girls do not like the covers. In the first picture we had covers on Mollie and when we went to check on her she had one leg out. Mackenzie would sleep like that as a baby and still does. In the second picture I just left her in a diaper and she fell asleep so I left her like that and she had a real good nap.
